Welcome to the Girl Scouts of Central Illinois (GSCI) website.  Your use of this website is governed by the following terms and conditions. Please read these conditions carefully.  Your continuing use of this website, after reading the terms of this Acceptable Use Statement, signifies that you are agreeing to be bound by these terms.

GSCI reserves the right to change this statement at any time.  If we do decide to change the terms of this Acceptable Use Statement, we will post any changes on this website.  Any such changes will be effective upon posting on the website.  By accessing this website following the posting of changes to the Acceptable Use Statement, you agree to all such changes.

1.  The GSCI Website

This website is designed to provide you and other users with information on Girl Scouting, including information on how to join Girl Scouts and how to become a Girl Scout volunteer.  Our website is a resource for current Girl Scout leaders, providing forms, tips, guidance, program information, and other materials.

2.  Other Sites

This website may contain links to a limited number of third party sites.  GSCI does not endorse any linked site or referenced site, or any site that links to our site, and is not responsible for any transmission of material received from any linked, linking, or referenced site.  GSCI assumes no responsibility, and shall not be liable, for any viral infection of your computer equipment or software, or any other types of damage in any form, due to your access, use of, or browsing in this or any other site, or from any information or material obtained from any other site.

If you operate another website and are interested in having a link from or to the GSCI website, you must first get permission from GSCI.  Anyone interested in linking from or to this site must contact us at gsci@girlscouts-gsci.org.  Once your link has been approved, you agree to the following stipulations:

Unless otherwise indicated, all of the content included in this website, such as text, graphics, designs, logos, button icons, images, and audio and data compilations, is the sole property of GSCI and/or the Girl Scouts of the USA  The compilation of all content is also the sole property Girl Scouts of the USA and/or GSCI; the software used to implement and create this website is either the property of GSCI or is owned by third parties and has been licensed for use by GSCI.  All such content, compilation of content, and software is protected by trade secret, trade dress copyright, patent, and other intellectual property laws.  In addition, many of Girl Scouts of the USA's marks may appear throughout this site, including without limitation Girl Scouts, the Trefoil design, and other marks that are the sole property of Girl Scouts of the USA.

You are granted permission to download this website (or a portion of this site) and print a single hard copy for your non-commercial use and reference only; you may not remove or modify any copyright or other proprietary notices from such copy.  You may also make hard copies of any of the forms provided on this website, provided that such copies are copied, used, and distributed solely in connection with your Girl Scouts and/or GSCI activities or responsibilities.  You may not otherwise use, copy, modify, distribute, republish, or transmit any of the content or materials of this site without the written permission of GSCI.

9.  Interpretation and Disputes

This Acceptable Use Statement is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Illinois, without regard to any conflict of laws provisions, and you agree that venue shall be proper exclusively in GSCI's jurisdiction (cities and counties served) in Illinois.  In the event of any dispute, the prevailing party shall be entitled to recovery of its reasonable attorneys' fees and costs.  Any cause of action or claim made by you or any other website viewer or user with respect to this website must be commenced within one year after the claim or cause of action arises.  If any provision of this Acceptable Use Statement is deemed unenforceable or invalid by a court, that provision shall be severed from this Agreement and the other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.  This Acceptable Use Statement represents the entire, exclusive agreement between the parties on the subject matter described in this Agreement, and supercede all prior proposals and understandings, oral or written.
