Why Take Training?
Adult volunteers are the key to the success of the Girl Scout Movement. Girl Scouts of Central Illinois provides learning opportunities to adult members as part of its commitment to girls. To ensure that volunteers gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to successfully deliver a meaningful and safe Girl Scout Leadership Experience, various learning courses are offered throughout the year. All courses are designed to enhance and develop your knowledge and skills.
In order to meet a variety of needs in terms of schedule and preferred learning method, classes are available in several formats: on-line, in-person, and/or home study.
On-line: Classes taken on-line give participants the chance to take courses when and where they need them.

How Do I Find and Register for a Class?
We strive to make registration as easy as possible. View the 2014-2015 Volunteer Training Calendar and select the training you wish to register for. Here’s how:
Registration is requested no later than 2 weeks in advance of a class to ensure that we are adequately prepared for your arrival. Once your registration is received, you will receive confirmation of enrollment along with any other information you need to know about the course.
If you are unable to attend a class for any reason, please notify us in advance. To cancel your registration, please call Jody Mink, Volunteer Development Specialist, at 888-623-1237, ext. 1310. Refunds for classes requiring payment will be granted only if you cancel 48 hours or more before class.
If a course is cancelled by Girl Scouts Central Illinois, we will notify by phone or email. Courses may be cancelled due to low/no registration by the deadline date, inclement weather, or other emergencies.
