Get all dressed up for an afternoon at the theatre and watch the animal characters come to life in several of the most famous of Aesop’s Fables, ballet style. The following weekend get back together for an in-studio workshop that will include performance excerpts by the dancers, trying on a real costume to getting your picture taken, playing a surprise game with the characters, and learning how to do ballet as a fable character. Who: Girls in grades 2-3 Date: Saturday, October 6 or Sunday, October 7, 2012 Location: USA Ballet, Bloomington Time: 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Fee: $11 per girl, $5 per adult Min/Max: 20/40 participants per session Closing Date: Wednesday, September 12, 2012 Dancer skill-building badge included. GSCI’s challenge course offers low and high ropes courses at each site and a variety of ground initiatives designed to enhance student leadership, teamwork, and problem solving skills, as well as improve communication, cooperation, support, trust, and risk taking capabilities. Low Ropes courses explore and recognize the benefits of highly effective teams and team building. High Ropes courses take your group to a higher level by utilizing elements that are 20 and 40 feet in the air. Participants use ropes and harnesses to navigate the course as well as a zip line. The Widjiwagan course has the option of a climbing wall.
