Blue Bucket Adventure

In the Girl Scout Daisy Journey Between Earth and Sky, Girl Scout Daisies join their flower friends for a cross-country road trip in their special flower-powered car exploring the natural world. In this program we will complete all the steps for the Blue Bucket Award. Along the way, flower friends (and girls!) will enjoy the sights and the wisdom of women working together to protect Planet Earth. Challenge Course

GSCI’s challenge course offers low and high ropes courses at each site and a variety of ground initiatives designed to enhance student leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, as well as to improve communication, cooperation, support, trust, and risk-taking capabilities. Who: Girls in grades 5- adult Date: Saturday, April 13, 2013, Saturday, April 27, 2013, Saturday, May 4, 2013, or Saturday, May 18, 2013 Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Location: Camp Tapawingo or Camp Widjiwagan Fee: $15 half day,$10 climbing wall only, $30 full day no fee if not participating Min/Max: 6/15 participants Closing Date: 2 weeks prior to each session We will only be accepting paper registration forms for challenge course. Please indicate on registration form if your troop would like to participate in the low or high course. Low courses are typically for the morning sessions and are highly suggested for troops new to the challenge course experience. Taking Aim

Try your hand at using a bow and arrow. Learn tips on shooting style and form and work to improve your aim. In addition to learning basic archery, safety rules, and range etiquette, you will have the opportunity to participate in a tournament. This sport of bows and arrows is a blast - especially when shooting at balloons filled with candy!
