You’ll learn about the art of gymnastics from a competition team. They will demonstrate how they jump, tumble, and move around the equipment. Then you’ll get the chance to try it out yourself as you move from station to station. GSCI’s challenge course offers low and high ropes courses at each site and a variety of ground initiatives designed to enhance student leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, as well as to improve communication, cooperation, support, trust, and risk-taking capabilities. Low ropes courses explore and recognize the benefits of highly effective teams and team building. High ropes courses take your group to a higher level by utilizing elements that are 20 and 40 feet in the air. Participants use ropes and harnesses--as well as a zip line!--to negotiate the course. At Camp Widjiwagan, you also have the option of scaling the climbing wall.
