Discover the careers you could pursue with an animal at your side! The four available sessions will include visits with: Illinois Valley Animal Rescue, where we’ll tour the building, learn what happens behind the scenes, and visit with volunteers and animals; Tilly the therapy dog, where we’ll explore the work she does to help others; Ancare Veterinary Clinic, where we’ll look behind the scenes and visit with the vet and technicians; and the Furry Friends Zoo, where we’ll experience and assist in the daily routine of working with animals, including feeding them and preparing their habitats. Rockin' the Climbing Wall

Take Aim

Try your hand at shooting a bow and arrow. Learn tips on shooting style and form and work to improve your aim. In addition to learning basic archery, safety rules, and range etiquette, you’ll have the opportunity to compete in a tournament. Whether you’re channeling Katniss or just want to expand your abilities, this sport of bows and arrows is a blast--especially when your targets are balloons filled with candy! Pick up a paddle and take to the water while you and a buddy take control of your boat. Boaters will learn from boating instructors how to prepare and be safe and what to do if something goes wrong before trying it out themselves. While out on Lake Bloomington practice the different paddle strokes to take you where you want and even play a game or two. Come ready to splash as you paddle around.
