The Family Partnership Campaign is a joint effort between Girl Scout families and Girl Scouts of Central Illinois to provide quality Girl Scout programming for over 22,000 girls each year. Family involvement in Girl Scouting, both personal and financial, is essential to support both the troop and the council. A financial contribution to the Family Partnership Campaign is over and above your generous gifts of time and talent. It is monetary support for continued growth of a quality program, which we all believe helps make our girls courageous and strong.

The yearly membership fee of $12.00 to register our members as Girl Scouts does not stay with our council. That $12 fee is for membership to the national Girl Scout organization, supporting program development and the activity insurance that covers all registered members.

While members pay $12 to join the national organization, it actually costs our council $250 per girl each year to offer the Girl Scout program locally. This $250 includes training and resources for Girl Scout volunteers, council communications to volunteers and families, and the cost of program activities and special events, resident camp, and day camp. Families pay only a portion of the actual cost of the activities we provide for all girls.

The Troop Guide to the Family Partnership Campaign was developed to assist Troop Leaders and Family Partnership Campaign Troop Managers with the material necessary to present this campaign to their families.

Supporting the Family Partnership Campaign is a great way to ensure that all girls who want to be a part of Girl Scouts are able to do so. Over $190,000 is needed to provide financial assistance for membership and camp this year. Please know that any size gift is appreciated and will make a difference.
