When Juliette Gordon Low founded the Girl Scout movement, she envisioned a place just for girls where they could reach out, try new things, and achieve their dreams. The issues faced by girls today are much more complex than they were in 1912, but Low’s vision to empower, encourage, challenge, and inspire remains just the same. Today Girl Scouting provides a safe, positive place for girls to explore and grow.
In Girl Scouting, girls develop the courage to stand up for what they believe. They build the self-confidence they need to make wise, healthy decisions and repel negative influences and peer pressure. They learn to relate to and care for others and take action to improve the world. They develop leadership skills and discover how to work together as a team to set, and achieve, their goals.
You can help us achieve our mission for all Girls. Your gift to Girl Scouts of Central Illinois will provide training and resources for adult volunteers to ensure they deliver the highest quality Girl Scout experience possible. Your donation will allow us to make Girl Scouting available to each and every girl, and reach out to those at-risk girls most in need of Girl Scouting’s positive influence.
Your contribution will ensure that the program that has empowered over 50 million women across the nation will continue to inspire the girls in your community to be the best they can be. Your support will make a difference. On behalf of all the girls in central Illinois, thank you for your caring and generosity.
