Membership

In Girl Scouts, a girl becomes part of the world’s premier leadership development program for girls, and the possibilities for fun and adventure are endless! Girl Scouts is available to any girl age 5 – 17 who accepts the Girl Scout Promise and Law and pays the $12.00 membership fee (financial assistance is available).

Girl Scouts of Central Illinois currently serves over 20,000 girl and 5,000 adult members. Interested in joining Girl Scouts? We'd love to have you as a member.

Membership Pathways

A girl may join Girl Scouts as a member of a troop or as an individually registered girl. All girl members, whether registered individually or with a troop, may choose from any of the six Girl Scout Pathways to participate in the Girl Scout program. Girl Scout Pathways allow girls to follow their own personal interests and choose how they use their time. The Girl Scout Pathways include camp (day and resident), special events, themed series program offerings, travel, troops, and virtual online environments.

Adult members may also participate via Girl Scout Pathways as well as through numerous other volunteer opportunities.

Adult Members

Adults, both women and men, may also join as adult volunteers when they accept the Girl Scout Promise and Law, pay the $12.00 membership fee, and pass a background check.
