Make a difference in a life of a child this summer by joining Girl Scouts of Central Illinois summer camp staff team. We hire three different teams of camp staff, find the one that fits you best . . . from our young day campers taking their first adventures into camping to our teens who are pushing the limits with extreme challenges. Enjoy your summer seeing life like a child again as you ride horses, create incredible crafts, swim the day away, go boating, try archery, make s’mores, go backpacking, and so much more!

Before you begin the application process, there are a few things you should know. Working at camp is a full-time summer commitment. Our staff contracts typically run from early June until early August, during which you’ll receive room and board and a salary. Our staff works together in a close-knit team to provide a safe, fun, and educational experience for our campers. The days are long, but at the end of the summer you’ll realize the positive contributions and impact you have made. You’ll also leave camp with strengthened leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, which are an asset no matter where life takes you.

Camp Widjiwagan
May 26th to Aug 3th
Day Camp Staff will work 8 weeks of Day Camp and 3-5 overnights during the summer.

Camp Kiwanis and Camp Tapawingo
June 3rd to Aug 4th
Day Camp staff will work 5 weeks of Day Camp at Kiwanis, 2 weeks of Day Camp at Tapawingo, and 3-5 overnights.

Be a Volunteer at a Community Day Camp

If you have a busy summer but still want to spend some time giving back at camp . . . consider volunteering at a Community Day Camp. Our Community Day Camps are 3-5 day camps in communities around our council.
