For girls and adult volunteers who choose the troop pathway, Girl Scouts of Central Illinois has resources available to make your troop experience a success. Programs the Monthly Patch Program offer ready-made guidelines and curriculum that leaders can easily incorporate into troop meetings. Council-sponsored community service projects provide flexible opportunities for troops to give back to their communities in ways that are most meaningful to them.
GSCI properties may be reserved for troop activities such as troop camping, special troop events, hiking, and other outdoor experiences which help girls discover their strengths and build new skills while engaged with the natural world – see Camp Properties for more information. Troops may also participate in outdoor education activities, or prepare for a trip to camp, at local venues such as parks. Check out all the great ideas you can do with your troop in any kind of outdoor space.
