Early re-registering the girls and adults in your troop is a great way to gear up your troop for the upcoming Girl Scout year. It’s a simple, easy process that can be done now instead of worrying about it during the busy back-to-school time in the fall. We have two different options you may utilize in order to register your troop for the upcoming membership year. You may take advantage of our eRegistration system or you may complete and print a hard copy of the registration forms and turn them in to your local GSCI office. If you are the leader or the troop cookie coordinator of a troop that participated in the 2012 Cookie Activity we would like your input on the activity. It is a short evaluation that will let us know your thoughts about the activity. The evaluation is available through June 1, 2012.

If your troop participated in this year's cookie activity, their Cookie Dough is now available for pick-up at your local service center. The council has some exciting news to share! We will soon have a new home in the Decatur community. Renovation on a new Urban Program Center has begun. As some of you may know, the development of an Urban Program Center is a part of the Long Range Property Plan developed by GSCI in 2010 to provide facilities that meet the needs and interests of today's Girl Scouts. This center will be a modern facility, providing a place where troops can meet and Girl Scout programs can be held. The center will bring together office space and program space under one roof. The Decatur Program Center will feature a rock climbing wall, teaching kitchen, meeting and program rooms, outdoor fire circle, green space, the Trefoil Boutique, and staff offices and meeting space.
The new center will be located in the building formerly occupied by WSOY at 1100 E. Pershing Road in Decatur. This Urban Program Center would not be possible without the generous contribution of land and building by TR of Decatur. The building will be completely remodeled to meet the needs of our Girl Scout members, volunteers, and staff. The expected opening date is mid-September of this year.
We are excited about the future of Girl Scouting in the region and the Urban Program Center will assist us in furthering our mission to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place!
As we celebrate our century of trailblazing, we're rallying the nation around the cause of girls' leadership.
We've watched girls back down, opt out, and shy away from leading. We've seen girls bullied by their peers, pressured by industries that celebrate unattainable beauty, and deciding against science and math. We've struggled to explain why women hold only 17 percent of seats in the U.S. Congress and 3 percent of the top positions at Fortune 500 companies.
Together, we can do better for girls, setting in motion a generational change, so that every girl born today blossoms into her full potential. Together, we can transform the leadership landscape, so that every girl, in every zip code, stands up, stands out, and stands tall. Together, we can get her there.
It's time we create a supportive environment that helps pave her path to success. We all have a role to play to get her there. We hope you'll join us on this incredibly dynamic path #TOGETHERTHERE!

Girl Scouts of Central Illinois now has an online registration system called eReg that allows leaders to manage your own, your girl’s, and your troop’s membership, event, camp, and program registration, as well as adult training registration. This system also allows parents to register their girl for membership, program activities and camp.
We recommend that you read the Frequently Asked Questions below so you are familiar with the system. If you have any questions or difficulty activating your account, please contact our Help Desk for assistance at 888-623-1237 or email us at helpdesk@girlscouts-gsci.org.
