Girl Scouts of Central Illinois has recently received inquiries concerning Little Brownie Bakers’ Lemon Chalet Cremes. Our council does not contract with Little Brownie Bakers and the cookies in question were not sold by Girl Scouts of Central Illinois. Our council contracts with ABC Bakers as our cookie supplier. Although ABC Bakers does sell a lemon cookie, they have not been affected. Read More

GSCI continues to hold outdoor education as an important program component for our members, providing unique opportunities for girls to develop strength and confidence through their connection with the natural world. We have also witnessed a change in what girls want from their outdoor education experiences as we track the kinds of camp sessions girls sign up for and tell us they want for the future. Just as Girl Scouting changes to keep up with the ever-changing wants and needs of today’s girls, so the Girl Scout camp experience must change as well in order to keep up. Through these changes, we remain committed to providing the best possible outdoor education program for girls – and this includes all girls within our council’s jurisdiction. Read More
